In learning the MLM basics for online marketing, branding yourself is one of the most important and fundamental things you need to do. People on the social media sites will soon get fed up of listening to you pitching your business to them if you do not learn this. Everyone hates having someone sell them something, but they enjoy buying things! They prefer to make up their own mind.
In order to create your own brand, you first need to let go of whatever you have been taught in MLM offline! This may sound strange or uncomfortable at first; you may want to hide behind your brand. You will soon find however, the everyone online, irrespective of age or gender markets themselves. People buy from people they know, like and trust. So you need to be seen and you need to connect with people.
The best way to connect with people is to offer value. Do not try to pitch you business, but instead offer any help you can give. Try to always give value. What you can offer them, is information. Each time that you learn something online about marketing your business, share it with everyone. This starts to brand you as a leader or a trainer. It also reinforces what you have just learnt, because you are writing about it or doing a video about it.
When you choose a domain name for your website, you need to remember that it needs to be part of your brand. For your main website you need to have your brand, preferably with MLM somewhere in it. For instance, mine is PrimeMLMTraffic. Obviously it depends what is available and what you like the sound of.
Most people use their own name for their blog. This is fine if you have an unusual name, but if your name is more popular, it may not be available. However you could always add a hyphen! You need to get your name out there as much as possible, so think about every site (such as Facebook or Twitter) you join and try to incorporate your name in your site name.
All this will help you to begin branding, ‘YOU INC’!
