The Ways To Market Your Blog Online

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

If you are novice to blogging then it can be confusing when creating your first blog. However, for a blog marketing guru, it truly is not that complicated. Anyone that is familiar with blog marketing online knows that it takes commitment, hard work and consistency. For someone just starting out with their marketing campaign, it may appear like a lot of work with little or no pay off to be seen right afterwards. However, just know that marketing is something that you have to make. You have to work on it and keep on to market your blog.

There are many things that you can do to market your blog and get it out there to be seen by the world. One of the most important things is to visit other blogs that are relevant to yours and leave comments. Doing so gets your blog out there to readers of other’s blogs. And in return can get you some new visitors as well as readers. While all of this might seem confusing at first, after a while you will get the hang of it and it will make sense and fall in place.

Posting on your blog on a regular basis is another way to get new readers. Who wants to read a blog that is never even updated? Would you? Certainly not! So give your readers what they want with new content and give it to them often. Post daily, weekly or bi weekly and be consistent about it. This way your readers and visitors will know how often to check your blog for a new post.

Know where your traffic is coming from. Know which search engines are directing people to your blog and which are not. Discover what keywords are bringing people to your blog as well. If you know all of this all ready, utilize it to your advantage. Write more content on the keywords that are working for you and monitor where you fall on the search engine pages that are sending visitors.

If someone leaves a comment on your blog, be sure to acknowledge it. No one wants to have a discussion with themselves, and it will only take a brief moment to reply and let them know you appreciate them. Otherwise if you have a section filled with comments and you have not replied, chances are that you will not be getting many more. The readers may even drop you off of their list of blogs to visit frequently as well. Using your head and treating others as you would want to be treated is a big part of marketing.

Make friends with other bloggers. Network with them and find out how they get so many visitors to their blog and what they do to keep them interested. Exchanging ideas with other bloggers that are triumphant is a great idea and a good way to make friends. If you want, you can even become associates with other bloggers offline as well. Use this to your advantage and do not just take from the conversation though, be sure that you share all of your blog marketing techniques as well with your new found blogging friends.

If you happen to be quoting an article from another source or blog, always be sure to provide a link back to the original. Other wise this is known as plagiarism and something that is looked down on in the world of marketing. Stealing someone else’s content is not a good idea and not something that you will get away with. You will get caught if you try to say someone else’s work is your own of it is not. This is not a good way to start off in the blog marketing world as well.

Blog marketing is an excellent way to make extra income and get your blog out there and known. Have patience and use these tips to drive people to read your blog and make money over internet.

Private or Public Blog Hosting

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Anyone who decides to blog will have a few decisions to make and one of these is finding an appropriate blog provider. There’s no question about what a blog can do in terms of financial reward. Many success stories have been published online and off regarding people who have earned and continue to earn incredible amounts just by maintaining blogs. Commonly, the lucrative aspect comes in the form of pay-per-click ads or affiliate schemes. The bottomline is, the difference between a blog making money and one that sits in a cold, dark corner of the web has a lot to do with factors to be determined by the blogger himself. And one of these factors in the choice of hosting service. There are two basic alternatives that a blogger will choose from in terms of blog hosting. One is self-hosting and the other is through a free service. Of course, both will have their unique advantages and disadvantages each. Not all people will benefit form one or the either, nevertheless, which means the person’s success with his choice will have a lot to do with what he actually hopes to accomplish with his blog. Will it be to make money right on the blog itself or will it be to drive traffic to a company website? Understanding fully the difference between the two will also increase the chances of the person making the better choice in the end. The obvious edge of a self-hosted platform is the owner’s freedom to choose his own domain name. This means the blogger can have his own name for a URL provided such has not been taken yet by another blogger or site owner. With a self-hosted blog, one has full control over the design of his page or pages. In fact, the blogger will not only be able to manipulate the appearance of the blog but practically everything about it from bandwidth to storage. Another major advantage of a self-hosted blog is the owner’s ability to make his site more flexible with the use of free plugins. However, the main disadvantage of self-hosting is the great requirement for technical expertise. If one is not knowledgeable about web design, he will have to hire somebody who is. Obviously, this translates to additional expenses on top of the monthly hosting fee that will be required to keep the domain running. On the other hand, a free-hosted blog platform can offer more convenience for the blogger who is not inevitably technically gifted. With this free service, one simply needs to choose from a number of templates and may proceed to concentrate on his posts rather than on making technical adjustments. Aside from ease of use, the other major advantage of publicly hosted blogs is search engine friendliness. Search engine optimization people know how fast blogs on public blog sites rise on search engine rankings as compared to those which are hosted privately. This means, whether the blog was intended to make money on itself or drive traffic to a particular website, it will likely grow in popularity more importantly employing a free platform instead of a paid one. Making money blogging is undoubtedly one of the easiest ways to fatten your bank account but it’s never as simple as it sounds. It takes one to grow a certain wisdom to know what decisions are likely to bring good results than others, from choosing a blog hosting site to employing SEO techniques that improve the blog’s online visibility. Once this wisdom is attained, to earn money blogging will not be too far from fact .

Effective Ways To Have A Successful Blog Marketing

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

You have created your blog and not it is time to market it for success. How do you do this? How do you go about getting your blog out there to be seen and known by others? How do you attract readers and keep them coming back for more? There are lots of ways to get your blog out there and known by others. This can be known as challenging for some and just quite easy for others. If you have ever had a successful blog before then you know what it takes. You are not going to get anywhere by just building a blog and hoping that people will find it and read it. You are not going to get any links, nor a higher search engine ranking by just having a blog. This is all part of blog marketing. Anyone can do it, even you.

Successful blog marketing guideline number one. When you first create a blog, of course it is unheard of. No one knows anything about the blog unless you provide them the link and show it to them. However, for a new blog that has never been seen, there are lots of ways to get it out there and known. You just have to know how. The first thing that you can do is to allow RSS feeds be taken from your blog. Allow other websites and blogs to publish your same exact blog. When you do this, they are giving you a link back to your blog, and also telling their readers all about your blog. You will get more traffic than ever with this tool. RSS feeds are wonderful for promoting and getting your blog out there.

Blog marketing tip number two. Update your blog regularly. We can not put enough emphasis on this tip. If you tell your readers that you are going to update your blog daily, then do it. If you say to them that you will be writing in your blog weekly, don’t let them down. Your readers are what makes your blog successful. You may not realize this in the beginning, and you will have few readers in the beginning as well, but you will eventually build a readership base and have people checking out your blog regularly. Maybe you do not plan on telling your readers how often you will update your blog. That is ok too. However, think about this, if you were reading a blog on a weekly basis, and you anticipated to see the blog that you like to read updated at least once a week, you would be very disappointed to find out that it was not. Sure, things happen that might prevent you from updating, and that is expected, and excused, but week after week can hurt you and cause you to lose readers.

Guideline number three. While you are working on your readership base, and trying to gain readers, you are going to find that commenting on blogs that are relevant to yours will surely help. Find a blog that is on the similar topic to yours, or close to it and leave comments. You can also have a track back with your blog postings to comment on your own blog. Doing so will possibly more than likely give someone else the urge to track back to your blog. Which will be good for it as well. Commenting on blogs that get many comments will make yours be seen by those interested in that market. You will gain traffic and readers that way, and it is easy as well as free.

The fourth blog marketing guideline. Learn and use SEO to your blogs~Learn and use SEO to your blogs}. SEO is search engine optimization. You are going to find that if you want your blog to go anywhere, you need SEO, and you need to know how to use it to the advantage of your blog. So don’t forget to make sure the search engines can find your blog.

Two Cardinal Mistakes When Blogging for Money

Monday, November 30th, 2009

A lot of bloggers out there dream of earning big bucks from their blogs. Of course, this sounds easy to do once you listen to blogging experts talking about writing the best content that people would always want to read. But how to make money blogging is more than just a question of content. If there was a blogger who just couldn’t reach his million-dollar dream in spite of writing the best content in the world, there would only be two main factors – a lack of patience and a lack of technique. Most of the time, bloggers are too impatient to wait for their blogs to accumulate traffic that they actually quit. This is for the reason that they can’t quite accept that to be known on the Internet , you have to be around for a long time. Of course, there are those that only came out a month ago and now they’re superstars. But most probably, these bloggers have celebrities for friends or probably they’re already quite known in society prior to their blogging. But for regular people, this can’t ever be possible. Rising to the top of the search engine rankings alone could take some time. This means for one to have a solid base of readership, one has to prove himself over time and slowly build the name of his blog. Technique has something to do with getting people to read a blog so advertisers actually appreciate being on that page. Some bloggers spend too much time writing new posts that they hardly notice if anybody has been reading at all. The problem is, while one may have the best content and writing skills to write the best blog post ever, it’s not going to make money unless people know about it. Technique would thus mean knowing and applying the right search engine optimization skills and backlinking. These are two surefire ways of getting a blog out in the open sea of the Internet for readers to fish. If you want to make money out of your blog, you have to make people see it and read it. You need to have traffic because if you don’t, you won’t earn commissions from those pay-per-click and affiliate ads you have. In other words, the more traffic your blog gets, the more possibility there is that those ads are going to get clicked and you actually start earning you commissions. To earn money blogging, one has to build the traffic because only traffic clicks ads and makes sales. In other words, making money blogging is not just about writing good blogs. It’s about getting these blogs out to readers because it’s the readers who’ll make money for you.

Blogs For Money - How Real Can They Get?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

There is probably not a tinge of doubt that making money with blogs is a real and feasible way of making money. Still, there are the pessimists who will always try to put this reality aside if only for the fact they can’t embrace what technology has actually created beyond their boxed ideas. Stepping out of that box, however, will be a very good way of responding to the things that have been revolutionizing crude mindsets. One of these ways is blogging. While there are those who just aren’t sold to the idea, it’s great to be reminded why they’re making such a big mistake. First off, when you blog for money, you’re not just blogging for the sake of expressing yourself. You’re actually doing it with a lot more foresight and practicality. Besides, if you’re enjoying it so much, then why not do it and make money, too? What could be better than earning and enjoying at the same time? Blogging is a rewarding way of helping the business community that promotes the very ideas that you believe in enough to blog about. There’s no room for guilt for putting those ads on your blog. Readers are adult human beings and they do not patronize a product that is advertised on your page because you led them to through your blog. If they do click on those ads and make purchases from those companies, it’s their personal decision and you definitely had nothing to do with it. All you did was inform them about something you know and it’s up to them what to make out of that information. Blogging for money is a significant way to make money. With your blogs, you are able to inform people about the things they need to know, hence, they come to visit your page. You’re not only serving your personal need to express yourself. You’re also doing service to people who believe in what you know and what you can do to affect them in every little way that you, through your blogging, can. Again, why not earn at the same time? Blogging is a totally justifiable way to earn an income. You are not taking anything from your readers, nor are they forced to surrender anything to you. You are there with the knowledge that you offer and they come to seek that knowledge knowing that when it comes from you, it must be helpful. That’s the basic thing that happens with blogs. When you earn money, that’s your reward for being a good blogger. You’re not blogging for money for the reason that you want to make money from your blog. You’re blogging because you have something to share that people could make very good use of. And if you’re making money, it’s a well-deserved bonus for the hard work you put in what you do. Besides, people can tell if you’re fake and just actually after the money. And people will sense if information is what you came to blog and not the money that you’re hoping to get by imparting that information. To make your blog make money online, it’s not even advisable to keep focused on the moneymaking part. You have to work to actually earn money blogging and that means being sincere in what you give to your readers by making your content the best that you can make it while promoting it.

The Meaning Of Comments When You Blog For Money

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Bloggers know how valuable comments are. After all, blogging is not only about knowing how to blog or what to blog about. It’s also about handling those who actually read the blog and comments are the ultimate proof that people are reading their posts. It doesn’t matter whether or not the comment is in favor or against the ideas on the post. When a comment is left by a reader, that means the post has been read and is worthy enough of being given attention to. Comments are also some of the best things about blogs. They allow for authors to interact with the readers, thus, making their relationship more alive and dynamic. However, not all posts get comments and sometimes, this becomes a cause for discouragement on the part of the blogger. The good news is, there are things that can be done by any blogger in order to encourage people to leave a note or two about the post they just read. Sometimes, it’s all a matter of letting readers know that the blogger actually appreciates their thoughts and opinions on the published posts and that their comments are, indeed, very much welcome. Probably the first think you can do is invite your readers to comment on your post. You may think they know they can comment even without an invitation but it’s definitely different when you are actually inviting them. They may or may not like what you’ve written and they may have varied views about your post but that’s, of course, fine enough. The point is to get them to participate and maybe provide a point of discussion for other readers. Of course, when they start commenting, you have to make them feel appreciated and usually, a simple response will do. You can thank them for taking the time to drop a note about your post. However, you don’t want to stop at thank yous but instead, try to be open-ended so that somehow, you leave the impression that you are willing to converse with them. While a simple thank you may do for some, those that really standout may deserve something more. If you get some really nice and provocative comments, you can actually mention them in one of your future posts. This allows your readers to feel important as far as your blog is concerned. Even if the reference you made in your future post wasn’t theirs, they would feel important just knowing that you actually took the time give another reader’s comment all that attention. Plus, it shows that you don’t only read what they write but appreciate it as well. And then, of course, if somebody tries to point out an error or mistake that you might have made in your post, be humble enough to admit it. There’s no point trying to fight with a reader, unless you want to risk being misinterpreted by other readers which may really do you good as a blogger. If you think you did make a mistake, acknowledge it. If you think you were right, make your point firm and simple and then thank the reader for his comment. Proper handling of comments is one of the things you should master if you’re going to build your name as a blogger and especially if you want to earn money blogging. While blogging to make money may sound like an easy task for you, it can even actually get difficult if you don’t know how to handle your readers. Definitely, building a rapport with them is necessary if you want that traffic to be consistently growing.

Ways To Make Money By Blogging

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

If you have an online business, it sure pays to do extra work trying to get it out to more people to increase your sales. And what better way to do that now than blogging. Definitely, blogging is a great way to promote your products or services and to seek out sponsors. Of course, you don’t necessarily promote what you sell directly through the posts you make. What you’ll want to write about are topics that are informational and relevant to your products or services. This is a proven way to make your blog make money online just by staying home and enjoying the best of family life. With a blog, you can add those pay per click ads which give you a commission for every click made on ads on your blog. There are also affiliate marketing sites which allow you to post ads on your page and earn each time those ads are clicked and when there’s actually a sale. In other words, your blog should be more of an information hub rather than a marketing tool. Then people will want to visit your blog not necessarily because of what you sell. They read blogs because they like what they read about. Your main focus should be to give your readers good content because it is the one and only thing that makes blog readers want to come back and even subscribe to your posts. This will then give you the kind of traffic you want for your blog to actually start making money. Readers are, of course, what you’re after because they’re the ones who’ll be appreciating your thoughts, ideas and knowledge. Without your readers, it’s useless to make a blog, unless you intend for it to be your personal journal. In that case, you can’t really expect your blog to be earning. Once you’ve somehow established a level of quality for your content, you’ll now want to add in the functionalities that will enable you to make money from your posts. Usually, people begin by adding Google AdSense. It’s a very simple process. You simply sign up for an account, provide pre-set specifications and Google will do the job of finding the best ads that will be useful or related to the information you present on your blog. When people visit your page and actually click on any of those ads, you earn a commission. If one person is going to click one ad, you will be paid for that. But that won’t be much which means you have to get as many people as you can to click as many ads on your blog as possible. That’s how you actually make a good amount of money. This also means that traffic is the number one thing you should work on. And again, quality of your content is what drives people to your blog. Google AdSense is just one of the ways to make money with your blog. You can also add banners that will promote your products and services or those you have linked up with through an affiliate program. When you make very good posts, there’s a better chance that readers would want to click on those banners. Now, that will be another way of earning an income through your blog. You can earn money blogging and a lot of pro bloggers have been very successful in this. But when making money blogs, you need to have a lot of patience because it could take time to develop readers’ trust before the formula begins to work.

Blog is the New Internet Promotion Instrument - 5 Points

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Blogging is a conception that begun in late Nineties. It used to be a way to comment on active webpage and fundamentally rendered an option for visitors and subscribers to respond or give out one’s opinion on the supposed page.  But what begun as a single-line response has built up into webpages of personalised take on just about anything and everything under the sun and beyond. It is also used as one of the potent ways to make money on the Internet. As it carries on to move ahead, online advertizement has knocked into the blog’s potential.  Stated under are 5 arguements why you shall employ blogging as a Net campaigning tool.

A)  Blogging is easy - The easiest path to get your part on the net is using a blog.  In fact no skills are necessary and an average adult can who could study and type, or at least click a mouse is adequate to commence a blog.  It is simply similar to taking a virtual piece of paper and you simply pen your ideas, experiences, new products, and plans such that the truth behind your posts comes out and tempt your readers.  If you have a computer and an Internet connection then you could start blogging.

B)  Blogging is trusted - In todays world and age where advertisement saturates our lives, we question the credibility of promoters’ statements.  However in blogs, real individuals contribute their actual-life experiences, unscathed by paid advertising.  Reading reviews about first-time product use is like talking to individuals about their first-time experience.  You will unquestionably desire to purchase a tried and reliable item.

C)  Blogging can also be free - Because blogging is still to be proven as a mainstream Net promoting medium, most websites ascertain it as something to support ongoing promotion tools and thus tender it for free.   Any chance for free web-presence is certainly a bonus particularly to individuals that are starting.

D)  Blogging establishes credibility -  As you get further into writing your experiences on a certain product or industry, your visitors come to recognise that they can depend on your posts for their own info needs.  Hence, you develop into an expert on it, as a result, more readers arrive at your blog and many bloggers link to your blogs.  As companies and professional establishments notice the outgrowth of your readership number, they may soon contact you for promotion on your site, or make you an associate, which pays for every referral rendered from your site.

E)  Blogging builds your market -  Untill you are a bright film star, chances are, solely your Mom reads your posts.  Mom has many acquaintances, so she lets her admirers know how occupying your site is.  But you require not to base on only your Mom to boost your readership numbers - isn’t it?  Thus if you are truly desiring to earn money online then look into the following paths to increase your market through a blog :

i. By getting together with a blogging network –  A network of blogs may be a collection of blogs that are part of the same business, concern, subscriber domain etc.  Clients feel credibleness and ease in clicking one link to various real blogs on an unique topic.  Distinctly, more bloggers are better than one.

ii. By analyzing your readers -  Do an east survey for your readers to understand their needs and advertising preferences.  Ask readers to give you remarks on a post or a picture that you shared.  In this way, it is like interviewing your subscribers without the commitment and trespass of a face-to-face interview.

iii. By applying your e-mail -  Today, blogging is overtaking the e-mail’s use in quickly and potently getting hold of and expanding a market.  In this period of speed and quick access, logging in and accessing email is simply engaging more time than clicking into a weblog.  Let them explore your site by utilizing a short email message as invitation to your blog site.  If your email is on an altogether different subject then use your email signature to present a link to your blog.

iv. By utilizing subscription - A simple path to get your readers email is to render them an opportunity to subscribe to your blogsite.  Provide some exclusive information for your subscribers to entice subscribers to subscribe and give their email address.  Just be responsible in utilising their e-mail address as the last thing you wish is a comment on your blog that you are a spam artist.

v. By employing Really Simple Syndication(RSS) - Really Simple Syndication(RSS) is a rapidly developing technology on the Net now.  Therefore, utilising Really Simple Syndication(RSS) feeds with your blog-site is definitely another method of generating cognizance for your subscriber and as well increasing readership count.  Having various feeds could add interest in your blog.

Therefore supply your business a raise by effectively utilizing blogging as an Internet campaigning application or tool.
