Winning Structures for Making Money Blogs

Friday, December 25th, 2009

A blogger can do many things with his posts to make them attractive. Although content is still number one, a blog will still have to catch readers’ attention before they even begin to read. This means that the way a blogger structures his posts will matter a lot when it comes to determining whether or not readers are, in fact, going read the post past its title. This is why it’s very important to give attention not just to the content itself but to the way it is presented. Once this skill has been mastered, a blogger can even make his blog make money online. But just before that, a blog will first have to be attractive to be bankable. One thing that turns off readers fast is a post that looks too dense. First of all, the post shouldn’t be too long or wordy because it tends to put a lot of stress on the reader before he even begins to read. If there seems to be too much to read, then that’s something that won’t necessarily work in favor of the blogger who would like to be read. Whether it’s a blog post, an article or even a news item, text has to be cut up into chunks for it to look like an easy read which is how everyone wants it. A post that doesn’t feed the eyes is also likely to be boring, if not totally unattractive all throughout. Definitely, those pictures are going to do well in attracting people to check out what’s in the post and not just stop at the title. Colors also tend to feed the eyes and make reading more engaging. Images can even hold a reader’s attention when the title can’t. Besides, people generally respond more to pictures than text, so having lots of them on a post can definitely be crucial within those 3 seconds it takes for an uninterested visitor to click away. A blog is also a great avenue for a blogger to cultivate his creative side. There are many ways to make a blog post attractive and it recommended that bloggers take advantage of the many things he can do. Aside from adding pictures, he can play with the fonts or font colors. There’s a bit of a risk here though when everything looks too made up that the content is practically overshadowed by its own presentation. The key is to simply attract readers to read and not to engage them in some fanciful worded artwork. Of course, links don’t only do a blog good in terms of search engine optimization. They also look quite attractive to readers. The more links there are on have on your page, the more impressed readers will be. That’s because links count as votes of confidence and if this many people have given the blogger their votes, then his posts may well be worth a read. Of course, a blog is any blogger’s baby but a blog making money can make a good blogger go places. If you’ve been blogging and getting more traffic than you ever imagined, you may as well make that blog make money through pay-per-click and affiliate ads. Money comes easy and the only price is for you to become an even better blogger as the cash rolls in.

Five Pitfalls in Trying to Earn Money Blogging

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

If you think you have the ability to write blogs that can attract the interest of readers, then set up a blog. And then start making money out of it. A number of people think the moneymaking part is some form of desecration of what blogging ought to be. But most writers gave been more liberal and practical in the ways they go. After all, blogging for money is just like being paid for any regular job except, of course, that you own your time and business and you’re not held responsible to anyone but yourself. Your readers are your bosses but, then again, you need not file reports and comply with freakish deadlines. When you blog, it’s just you, your reader, and what you put in between so each of you could have a fuller experience of each other as your blog lives on. So what’s going to make your blog live on and make profit? Absolutely, researching on the Internet about how to blog can make a huge contribution, but remember that there are no limits to what you can do. There are, on the other hand, five things you can not do if you want that blog to work and make money. First, do not topic-hop because this is a sure and proven blog killer. Readers read a post because it’s motivating and they’re likely to return looking for the same topic on your future posts. If you’ll surprise them with another topic and yet another topic on their subsequent visits, it’s just not going to work. They’ll almost certainly lose interest and move on to the next blog that shows more consistency. Second, do not make the mistake of thinking that a blog updated once or twice a month is good enough. No matter how great your content, freshness still counts a lot not just to blog readers but even to search spiders which love to index constantly updated blogs. When you post on your blog regularly, that is a sure sign to people that you are there, a real, live human being sharing a piece of yourself to your them because you actually want to connect with them and not just because you need to give in to your sporadic urges to blog. In other words, when you are always updating your posts, people know that you want them to read you and you’re not just using blogging as a writing exercise or a personal rehabilitation of sort. Third, do not be ignorant to the reading world. By all means, reply to people’s emails or comments. Apparently, this allows you to create a relationship with them that is beyond their reading. When you reply to them, it is an indication that they are important to you and this naturally creates a sense of devotion. Fourth, do not think that people come to a blog expecting to read a novel. You certainly can’t post something that long or you’ll simply lose steam. Keep your posts rich in detail but brief and concise. In blogging, there is no room for superfluous words. Direct to the point is most appreciated. Fifth and last, do something unique on your blog. If you’re competing with millions of bloggers from all corners of the web, you’d better put something in there that makes you a cut above the rest. In other words, be unique and offer what others have not tried. Explore what others have not tested. Whatever you come up with can, in fact, be your main selling point. And then how to make money blogging won’t be such a big question anymore. Just keep in mind that to make that blog make money, you don’t only need to be aware of what to do. Very important is to know the possible pitfalls that can make you stop short of achieving your goals.

Here Are a Few Powerful Ways to Profit from Your Blog… Beginning ASAP!

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

Cyberspace has an incredible marketing tool, even though they’ve been around for quite some time. Yet, only lately has this tool been highly praised as a great communication tool for internet marketers. If you have been following the latest internet marketing trends like I have, then you have definitely heard of them.

What is this fantastic marketing tool I’m talking about that each serious marketer should have in place? Blogs! Now, just for those of you who are not completely certain what a blog is, here is a quick explanation: a blog (a.k.a “web log”) is really a journal that is presented on the net. The action of updating (more often than not on a daily to weekly basis) a blog is called “Blogging” and somebody who keeps a blog is a “Blogger”.

There you have it, brief and to the point. Okay. For the rest of this article I want to focus on how one can make money blogging. I am going to mention a few ways that I consider are the best and most powerful ways to get the most out of your Blog. So, with that said, let us go to profit tactic # one.

Profit Tactic # One: Writing Articles

Writing articles are a very powerful way to profit from your blog. There are a lot of reasons why articles are important to your blog, but for the purpose of this article, I am going to give you the most crucial part, and that is your “Resource Box” at the end of your article. Your “Resource Box” is like a classified advertisement and holds crucial information about you, your sites and what you have to offer them after they have read your article.

The links within your “Resource Box” might lead to your own products or services you have to offer, or they might lead to an affiliate product related to the subject matter of your article. This is a wonderful technique to give them something of “value”, which is the info inside the article, and a excellent technique to get them to take action by way of getting them to click on one of the links in your “Resource Box”.

Profit Tactic Number Two: Writing Product Reviews

Writing product reviews is a splendid method to profit from your blog simply because they allow you to soft-sell your prospective shopper by way of giving them your own opinion on the product you are endorsing and then giving them a link if they want to look into it more, instead of throwing a sales pitch at them.

No one likes to be sold to, but offering them your experience with a product or service that might help resolve the problem they are dealing with is yet another remarkable technique to profit from your blog and make you look like a hero.

Profit Tactic Number 3: Contextual Ad Programs

Contextual ad programs like Google Adsense are yet another magnificent method to make money from your blog. Google Adsense is a PPC (pay-per-click) program that displays related ads to the subject matter on that particular webpage of your website. It’s free to join and can only take you a few minutes to setup depending on your experience.

Now I’m sure that there are numerous other ways to make money from your blog, but these are in my mind some of the most powerful.

If you haven’t started a blog, maybe it’s time you thought about it since now you have some incentive. I sincerely hope this article helped you appreciate the profit potential your blog could have and how you can start incorporating it starting today. And once you create your blog, make sure you learn how to increase blog traffic!

Targeted Traffic From A Trackback Means Making More Money

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

If you’re a blogger, chances are you’ve heard of trackbacks, however you may not know what they are and what they have to do with your blog. That’s alright, as most people don’t quite understand how trackbacks work and why they are useful for a blog. So next we’re going to go over trackbacks—what they are, how they work, why they are important to blog traffic, and how to get more of them. After you’ve read this, you’ll know practically everything there is to know about trackbacks

TRACKBACK DEFINED

Exxplaining the trackback concept can be a challenge. So we’ll use an example to explain it in the best way possible.

OK, say you see a great blog post on another person’s blog and want to link to it on your blog. You could do this the old-fashioned way by manually putting a link on your site to that blog post. However, if you do it that way, the person whose blog post you are linking to won’t know that you are linking to them unless you tell them.

This is where trackbacks come in. A trackback is a program which will notify the owner of a blog when one of their posts has been linked to at another blog.

HOW DO TRACKBACKS WORK?

A weblog that has a trackback system set up will have a link at the bottom of every blog post~. This link will say something like “Blog This!” Anyone who clicks the link can then put a link to that blog post on their site. The person who posted the original blog will then be notified via email that their blog posting has been linked to. Additionally, the link that was clicked (“Blog This!”) will change to a trackback. From that point forward, the trackback” link will keep track of how many people have chosen to blog about that particular post. So after the first trackback, it will say “Trackbacks: 1”. The number of trackbacks recorded will be updated as they occur.

WHY ARE TRACKBACKS SO IMPORTANT?

Trackbacks increase your blog’s credibility, and credibility attracts attention to your site. After all, other people with similar interests thought your posts were good enough to be mentioned (trackbacked) on their blogsites!

Anytime a person makes a trackback on your blog, they make a post on their own blog about your blog. This, in turn, lets their readers know about your blog.Chances are their readers will want to visit your blog to search for additional information or clarification. If they see something on your blog that they like, they’ll keep coming back for more. That means more traffic for your blog.

Can you imagine what would happen if 5 different bloggers trackbacked a post on your blog? Depending on how popular their blog is, that’s potentially as much as hundreds of new readers for your blog! Pretty incredible, right?

HOW CAN I INCREASE THE NUMBER OF TRACKBACKS I GET?

Traditionally bloggers were told to simply make quality posts frequently (2-3 times a week).A quality blog post must be reasonable in length, interesting, and informative. Do this enough and you will get trackbacks. It was another variation of the truism that, “if you throw enough against the wall some of it is bound to stick”.

Those who are attempting to make money blogging these days had to find a more sure approach beyond quality and quantity. They began by sending 100’s of posts to other bloggers in the same interest area and asking them for a trackback. Eventually software called a Trackback Submitter was developed to automate and improve the concept.

Trackback Submitter uses the article submission concept to create trackbacks. Think of each post as a separate article. Submit your post/article to the Trackback Submitter, just as you would to an article submitter. Keep in mind that if you don’t like to write, these articles can come from available PLR. The Trackback Submitter process allows you to spins it into as many unique forms as possible, then it submits a unique article to thousands of make money blogs. Each time the article is used it automatically generates a trackback! How’s that for streamlining the process?

Trackbacks are a wonderful thing for every blog. Trackbacks increase the awareness of your blog, plus they increase targeted traffic and as a result you make more money. All of this improves your search engine rating as well! What could be better than that!

Why is SEO Optimization Important For Your Blog

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

The competition online is very competitive, and the first page of the search engines are what the individuals are looking for: so, if you own a blog or are looking to make money online must have a great plan to receive the best readers and the greater amount of traffic. The greatest principle for the blog optimization for search engines is keywords. When you begin the race for SEO (search engine optimization), you already have an advantage: blogs are usually the ones that receive higher traffic then other complex sites due to their highly informational content. Keywords are words or sentences that are typed in the search engine box by the users.

Blogs usually rely on original content that are updated regularly and renewed, so that they have something new to offer all the time. Before you write your blog articles, you will need to make a list of keywords that art relevant to your blog and which you think will by typed in to the search engine by Internet users. A brain-storming session is ideal to find the best structures you need to include in the articles; however that there are a few rules you may have to follow here as well.

Choosing a few general keywords is not the best way to market your business via a blog, because the fact that you will get a lot of traffic, the profit could remain modest. Too broad keywords attract all different readers and people who are not interested in purchasing your procuct. SEO experts use different ways to check the profitability of a blog, and one of them deals precisely with the number of relevant readers the web-page receives.

Once you are able to get the most high-in-demand keywords, you'll still have to do a lot of work in order to keep the blog position high in traffic. The number of keywords may change from day to day, given the intense competition that characterizes the Internet in general; consequently, when you update or change the site content, you need to do a keyword analysis before you begin and see where they are in rankings. However, the most important rule of search engine optimization: unique, quality informational content, that is the focus of a successful blog!
